"It's been five years since Mayor Mike Bloomberg banned smoking in bars. And no offense to Hizzoner, but if this is the best the city can do to put an end to nightlife cigarette culture, we can kiss all hope of a balanced budget goodbye." [Page Six Mag]
We, like Page Six, doubt that Mayor Bloomberg will be hitting up Beatrice Inn, Citrine, or Rose Bar (just a sampling of the places that tend to ignore smoking), but we are curious to where else you go to lit up?
Does smoking in bars/lounges/clubs bother you? Or is it to be expected?

Speaking of Beatrice Inn, apparently they have a "mix" on iTunes. We have yet to confirm if this is an official compilation from a legitimate Beatrice DJ, but in case you care, here are the songs that only the hippest of the hip are listening to (on repeat):

smoking is to be expected. i personally don't smoke but it really doesn't bother me. every place i go to frequently pretty much ignores the ban including cipriani, eldridge, rose bar and beatrice.

There are a ton of good places to go where you can smoke inside. Cafe Tabac in Soho. And I know of about ten bars that will let you light up after 1am (including Employees Only). This is what happens when you're an unrepentant nicotine addict.

I hate smoking in clubs, but on the other hand I feel annoyed when all my friends go out for smoking breaks and the party is transferred to the freezing outdoors. So..hum
