Last night, Paul Kasmin hosted a fabulous birthday party for his friend and client, renowned artist Kenny Scharf. Scharf is known for his distinct and recognizable colors and style, incorporating pop culture, cartoons imagery, and dizzying, vivid patterns into his work. Many of Scharf's friends came out to celebrate, including David Byrne, Cindy Sherman, Carlo McCormick and Liam and Patrick McMullan. The night began with a dinner at Il Passatore in Williamsburg, followed by drinks and dancing at Scharf's Brooklyn studio, surrounded by neon paint splatter, day-glo decor, and appropriately chromatic company.
