Go Here for photos by Antwan Duncan
Last night, the biannual S magazine held their opening reception for their seventh issue at Dactyl Gallery. This freethinking magazine ‘celebrates diversity, decadence and the occasional libido enhancing gadget.’ However, nudity seemed to be the main idea celebrated in many of the photographs. (And with the bartenders pouring such strong drinks, I was surprised that no one followed by example!)
The beautiful men and women portrayed in the photos were in poses that ranged from sweet and demure to tough and dripping with raw sexuality. Although the photographs might say otherwise, the crowd was seemingly subdued. I didn’t see any leather-clad S&M afficionados among the guests, although it very much present in some of the photos. The photographs were provocative and the source of very interesting conversation. The reception proved S Magazine to be very subscription-worthy.
