You may have noticed something different on Park Avenue the last two nights. The holiday lights on all of the trees lining the median are now lit! The 64th lighting happened Sunday night at the Brick Church. It is one of the most festive events of the season where the brave souls who venture out and bear the cold sing along together.
The turnout compared to previous years was significantly lower and could very well be a sign of the times. Another difference, was when the switch was hit, only one tree lit up! Normally it is supposed to light all the trees on Park Ave simultaneously, but something went screwy with the wiring. Hope the light guy still has his job!
