All photos by WILL RAGOZZINO for PMc] While restaurant openings have been sparse given the economic climate, the dynamic husband-and-wife chef duo known as the Suhanoskys have barged ahead with their ambitious business plan, opening a gourmet shop on the Upper East Side as well as the Nolita spot Civetta, their third restaurant to date. Early signs are auspicious: INTERVIEW magazine hosted a party there honoring young NYC artists last night.
An employee of the restaurant said the place should be ready to open in two weeks, and the menu, which features homemade pasta and tons of Italian wines, looks great -- NY Mag's Grub Street has a sneak peek. Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
