What better way to raise both awareness and cash for organ donation than auctioning off a Kwiat diamond necklace and tickets to the Colbert Report? On August 12th, the Shari Kurzrok Second Chance For Life Foundation held it's second annual "Sip, Support & Spread the Word” aimed at providing both support and awareness for the life-saving procedure.
The benefit broke new ground this year by beginning a new word-of-mouth campaign. The hope is to touch others with the stories of people who have been affected by organ donation. Those stories can be found online through websites such as YouTube.

Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
