Barbara Hutton

Who she is: Dubbed "poor little rich girl" because of her messy life, Barbara Hutton was, for a time, one of the wealthiest women in the world. In addition to her numerous marriages to men from elite families, she herself was an heir to the Woolworth Fortune. Barbara was known for her outrageous spending habits, which while altruistic (she was a generous tipper and often donated large amounts to charity), ultimately led to the loss of much of her wealth.
