(East Village)

Abraço, which means "Embrace" in Portuguese, does just that when you get your hands on a cup of their Joe. This small coffee shop (sometimes known as a coffee bar for its miniscule space) has a way of keeping you with its cozy atmosphere, and delicious food.
What makes it special: They don't serve the coffee to go so you're forced to take some time out of your busy schedule to enjoy your beverage, but with top-notch service from owner Jamie and the pleasant baristas, you certainly won't mind.
What we recommend: Olive Oil Cake, Cafe Cortado
