The Upbright Citizens Brigade puts on absolutely side-splitting shows, which is no wonder, since one of its founders was comedy queen Amy Poehler. Comedy clubs can be tricky, since not everyone has the same sense of humor, but you would have to be pretty immune to laughing not to at least chuckle at a UCB shows. Any date jitters will be dispelled and you'll have plenty to discuss with your companion after. UCB's two New York theaters are located in Chelsea and the East Village, with shows starting at 7:30 pm.
