Minetta Tavern

A Greenwich Village staple in both the past and present, Minetta Tavern was frequented by the Beat poets like Burroughs, Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, and Gregory Corso, playing host to their revolutionary discussions and, unsurprisingly, some dramatic bar fights. It was also a watering hole for Ezra Pound, Ernest Hemingway, and E. E. Cummings.
