In the market for a seriously unique date idea? Pretty sure a sushi dinner paired with 600-pound champion sumo wrestlers will earn you some cool kid points.
This weekend marks the inaugural SUMO + SUSHI event at NYC's Playstation Theater. On Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4, attendees can take in the 1500-year-old Japanese sport while enjoying inventive bites by local sushi hot spots, including one of our high-end faves, Megu.
Though their one-of-a-kind spread will only be available to VIPs splurging on private sky deck tickets (worth over $3,500), there are still plenty of viewing-only seats available for $45. Sure, you'll be relegated to the cash bar, but the authentic Japanese spirits and sake will certainly be worth it.
