Ladies' Pavilion

Ladies' Pavilion
With ornate cast-iron details, this charming Victorian structure originally sat at the Columbus Circle entrance to Central park as a shelter for trolley passengers. In 1912, it was relocated to a spot overlooking the “Ladies’ Pond,” where only women were allowed to ice-skate separately from the men. Good thing it’s co-ed now, because it makes a perfect, tucked-away perch for couples to take in views of the Lake, rowboats, and the Manhattan skyline.
