Explore Your Hometown
Go back to the park where you take your family’s dog to play, or grab dinner with friends at the same restaurant you went to before prom in the 11th grade. Revisit your town keeping in mind that you might not be back for a while. It took a few, multi-hour ‘I forgot it at home’ shopping trips for me to realize that I actually missed *gasp* the mediocre mall that was only ten minutes from my house. If the place you're leaving isn’t where you grew up, still visit some memorable places! Have happy hour at the bar where you celebrated your first promotion, or host a potluck where your friends bring a dish from their favorite restaurants. Even if you are in a hurry to leave, cherish the last few days before the controlled chaos of moving begins.
