Never Get Lost In Central Park Again With This Brilliant Hack!

by Guest of A Guest · April 27, 2022

There's nothing more impressive than strolling through Central Park with a New Yorker who knows exactly where they are - able at any moment to choose the correct path and dip out onto their chosen street.

Sadly, as a downtown girl, I am so not on that level. I mean, don't even get me started on how confusing The Ramble is...

But alas, it seems there may be hope! Did you know there's a secret hack to help you navigate New York's 843 acre backyard with ease?

Next time you're curious of your coordinates, take note of the lamp posts peppered along the walk ways. Each features a plaque with numbers. The first two numbers will tell you what cross street you're on, and the second pair of numbers will tell you which side you're on (even numbers mean you're East, odd numbers mean you're West).

    Pretty brilliant, no?
