Sally Hershberger Downtown's Edgar Parra
Who: Edgar Parra, stylist at Sally Hershberger Downtown Favorite style for spring: Braids have been a trend since summer of 2012 and have transformed through fall and winter. Spring is bringing a more whimsical turn to the average braid. As you can see in this picture, it hasĀ  more of an effortless feel to it, almost as if you had done it yourself. How to recreate this look: When recreating this look, section your hair apart from the back of your ear forward. The hair behind your ear you will be used to create a traditional chignon. You will use the front section of your hair and create braids, and tie them back into the chignon in a way that is messy and effortless looking, leaving pieces out to give it the whimsical effect. The best products to use when recreating this style are a mineral salt water spray and hairspray. These products are both used to not only hold the hair in place, but to also give it some texture as well. Who this works well on: This style works great with a large variety of people, depending on how you arrange it to fit their facial structure. You can make it bigger, taller and wider for someone with bigger feature, or much cleaner and tighter to fit someone with smaller features. [Photo via]
