Few things are more New York City than the Thanksgiving Day Parade. The sadness over dropping temperatures fades into the excitement over a lovable, six story high Kermit the Frog and other things Fall. With the department store windows telling stories and Rock Center getting ready to light the Christmas tree, the holiday buzz begins.
At this year's procession, fun floats accompanied appearances and performances. Here is just a glimpse of the guests from Thursday's trek, following a new route this year. Can you believe it's December (almost) already? Better hop to that holiday online shopping. After all, meaningful work is a total wash at this point, at least until mid January.

Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
