    Fellini

Movie buffs and society fixtures gathered at Tribeca Cinema to view Corinth Film's remastered 35 mm print of Fellini's masterpiece 8 1/2. Afterward, audience members enjoyed cocktails and foodstuffs at the Tribeca Grill, presumably while pondering writer's block and the creative process.-

Go HERE to see all the photos by Shoko Takayasu and to tag yourself and your friends!

For those of you who've been watching more "Die Hard" and less "La Dolce Vita" lately, 8 1/2 is about a frustrated filmmaker (overidentifying, Fellini?) struggling through a sci-fi film while descending into spiraling flashbacks and fantasy sequences. Think of it as a cross between Adaptation and Avatar. I mean, not actually, but I wanted to say that. Incidentally, the hors d'ouevres photos are triggering intense flashbacks to the breakfast I didn't have this morning.

Did you miss the festivities? The new 35 mm print of the masterwork opens to the public on March 26th at Lincoln Plaza Cinemas.
