The 65 Annual Tony Award nominees got together for a class photo and lunch; Alina Cho hosted a fashion event at Valentino; Jordan Knight proved age really does matter with his CD release of Let's Go Higher; Daphne Guinness hobbled on her impossibly tall shoes to Le Bain and more. Last Night's parties had their head in the clouds!
65th Annual Tony Awards Nominee Class Photo
Who Was There: Ellen Barkin, Neil Patrick Harris, Bobby Cannavale, David Schwimmer, Lily Rabe, Judith Light, Joel Grey, Whoopi Goldberg
Other Details: Smile and say "Tony!" After giving the appropriate thanks for their nomination, the 65th class head to a lunch hosted by Julie White, who won a Best Actress Tony for "The Little Dog Laughed." The News' theater critic, Joe Dziemianowicz, caught White literally limbering up, reports Gatecrasher. "I was water-skiing on Lake LBJ in Texas and I'm so sore," said White. She is also pulling for pal John Benjamin Hickey, who's nominated for "The Normal Heart." "We've been friends since we were 18. And by the way," she added, "he should have been nominated for his work in that play about those two big mean queens." We don't know much about that, but if we were to place bet, it would be everything on Mormons. [Via]
ALINA CHO Hosts a Luncheon at the Valentino New York Boutique in Support of Literacy Partners, Inc
Where: Valentino Boutique, 747 Madison Avenue
Other Details: CNN's Alina Cho hosted a fashionable get together at Valentino where ladies lunched and shopped for a good cause. Proceeds benefited Literacy Partners.
Jordan Knight's CD Release Concert
Who Was There: Jordan Knight, Kat de Luna
Other Details: This is sad. New Kids On The Block former (present?) member Jordan Knight, formerly known in my middle school Trapper Keeper as "The Dreamy One," held his CD release for Let's Go Higher at Canal Room to little fanfare. Aging means never having your face plastered on the side of a lunchbox and matching thermos again.
Susanne Bartsch ON TOP
Where: Le Bain
Other Details: Legendary event diva Susanne Bartsch's new On Top party at Le Bain got some fashion cred in the form of Daphne Guiness at this week's installment. Glam decadence has officially been welcomed to the Meatpacking District. Take a look at an interview with Susanne about the party HERE and check out more photos HERE.
