Other details: Last night, generous art enthusiasts headed to Chelsea's Eyebeam gallery for a cocktail reception and auction featuring a specially commissioned piece by artist Richard Phillips. Guests including Mary Alice Stephenson, Amy Sacco, and Hilary Rhoda posed for pictures as they walked in, before being treated to Patron Tequila cocktails, small bites, and music by Chelsea Leyland. A wall of artwork was on display for a silent auction, with works from Lola Schnabel, Curtis Kulig, Andre Saraiva, Mr. Brainwash, Kenny Scharf, and many more. Later in the evening, the crowd gathered around the stage for a live auction featuring 5 major pieces of artwork culminating with the Richard Phillips print. Alexander Gilkes served as auctioneer, and drew winning bids ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 (first time donating artist KAWS went for $31,000). The night raised over 600K for the art mentoring programs. The auction was followed with a performance from Oh Land.
