Other Details: Last night the New Museum held a preview of their new exhibits by Charles Atlas, known for being an innovator in combining dance and performance with film and video, and “Ostalgia,” which brings together the work of more than fifty artists from twenty countries across Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Republics. The title comes from the German word ostalgie, a term that emerged in the 1990s to describe a sense of longing and nostalgia for the era before the collapse of the Communist Bloc.

Other Details: Hair is back on Broadway! Have you seen it? It's so good. They sing, they dance, they run through the crowd with flowers and let the sunshine in. Highly recommend. Back from traveling the set has been changed since it's first Broadway run, but who cares. During the July 25 performance they'll be hosting same-sex couples to be wed on the stage of the St. James Theatre following the passage of New York State's landmark marriage equality legislation. They join forces with International Myeloma Foundation to host this important event each year and all proceeds go directly to IMF.
