Other Details: All the big names came out to Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark to see if the retooled, Julie-Taymor-less version would injure anyone or suck less. Critics thus far have agreed on one thing: no one was killed. Applause! Taymor herself showed up, graciously hugging and posing with Bono and the Edge for pics. Bill Clinton, with daughter Chelsea in tow, apparently loved the show. "Mr. Clinton applauded after every song and laughed heartily during a scene in which the villain Green Goblin becomes irked by an elaborate voice mail system," reports the NYT. [Via]

An ultra-skinny Jennifer Hudson performed, as did Liza Minnelli.  Ke$ha, as is her right, did not wear pants but instead opted to class it up with a leotard. Doors opened at 11pm, with the crowd of fashion designers and party scene-staples arriving on the dot. Oh Land dressed in a white feather headress for the performance that started that at midnight and included favorite "Sun of a Gun." [Via]
