Other details: Tom Stoppard’s time-tripping “Arcadia”opened on Broadway last night. Some outlets aren't too fond of Bill Crudup's performance, but the play got a rave from the New York Times: "It has acquired something more important: an emotional depth, viscerally rooted, to support its intellectual shimmer. This conviction comes across — with gusto and delicacy — via four performers who embody two almost-couples of two different eras." [Via]

Other details: National Geographic held a screening for this very important film about Waris Dirie. She started life as Somalian nomad and was circumcised at 3, and then  sold in marriage at 13. She fled from Africa to become an American supermodel and UN spokeswoman against circumcision. [Via]
