    Elton John rocked the Waldorf Astoria for breast cancer awareness, celebs and their pups got dolled up for the ASPCA gala, Mayor Bloomberg honored the FDNY, War Horse opened to raves at Lincoln Center, socialites did a ton of shopping while holding champagne flutes and more. Last Night's parties is ready to catch up on rest this weekend!

    THE BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION: THE HOT PINK PARTY

    Other Details: Elton John took the stage in his hot pink plastic glasses to rock the Waldorf. Sting was also in the house and invited ladies up on stage to dance with him. Abagail Breslin rocked a floor length red gown, looking way older than her age and Elizabeth Hurley looked stunning in a pink number.  "We raised more than $4 million tonight for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A huge thank you to everyone who came to support us xxx," followed by "Back at the hotel, kicking off 6 inch heels, unzipping dress and about to have a l-o-n-g bath with my book. Yes!!" [Via]

    Other Details: Celebs, animal lovers, and shelter dogs came out to the Waldrof for the 14th annual ASPCA event. There was dinner and dancing and probably plenty of pet talk about how smart Muffy is, how Rover is having problems getting along with others at the dog park, and where to get the cutest high end four legged jumpsuits. [Via] Because seeing a cute/funny dog pic and not posting it is Internet Crime, here is Cinderella, a rescue dog primping for the affair at the Ricardo Rojas Salon. The pup was found in a hoarder house in Tennessee and now lives the fairy tale life in a penthouse at Central Park attending the fanciest events at New York's most prestigious hotel.     Other Details: Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano hosted last night's event to honor those who have provided overwhelming support to the New York City Fire Department. CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo served as Master of Ceremonies. Brian Williams, that hazy form up by the podium in the pic to your left, gave a speech which undoubtedly looked much better IRL. [Via]

    Other Details: Mikhail Baryshnikov, who recently sold his favorite painting at Sotheby's for $746,500 and donated it to his own Arts Center, attended last night's cocktail reception and performance hosted by Agnes Gund and James Rosenquist. Called "In the Studio," guests enjoyed a studio performance featuring the Voice, Music, Theater and Dance winners at Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) followed by an exclusive insiders’ exhibition viewing of the works by YoungArts award winners in the Visual Arts, Photography, Writing and Cinematic Arts and cocktail reception at Affirmation Arts gallery.

    Other Details: Although 'War Horse" just opened last night, it has gotten positive reviews and  sold strongly enough for Lincoln Center to extend the show beyond the previously announced June 26 closing date.  It is based on a kids novel and uses puppets! The horse you see to the left is made out of leather, wire, and is life sized. If I was rich and lived in an apartment bigger than a shoebox, I would buy this thing. [Via]
