Other details: As 2011 is the International Year of Forests, this year's gala underscored how Brazil's economic growth and international prominence must walk hand in hand with a deep sense of responsibility for the use of its natural resources and for the development of its people. The event gathered 500 people from the business, media, academic, diplomatic and artistic communities of Brazil, United States and Europe to celebrate BrazilFoundation's efforts for a more just and equal Brazil.
