Mayor Bloomberg, Sadik-KhanYesterday, Mayor Bloomberg and Department of Transportation Commissioner Sadik-Khan decided that each Saturday morning in August New York City will have an approximately 7 mile car-free path between the Brooklyn Bridge and 72nd Street. Check out the detailed map HERE. Finally, you can walk/bike without having to worry about getting hit by a car (that sounds rather morbid now that I've written it down, trust me it sounded much more positive in my head).
