Registering To Vote Has Never Been More Stylish Thanks To Saks

by Christie Grimm · September 22, 2020

Saks Fifth Avenue's iconic windows are always a sight to be seen - designed to awe and amaze. And as of today, they've never tried to inspire so bluntly. In honor of National Voter Registration Day, Saks has transformed their window display into an appeal for passersby to partake in their most important civic duty, voting.

Upon close inspection, the windows, spelling out VOTE, highlight pivotal voting milestones throughout United States history, from the Voting Rights Act to the Americans With Disabilities Act. But their mission to empower New Yorkers to be prepared for the upcoming election doesn't end with the windows.

On the department store's second floor, situated among the rows and rows of tempting beauty counters is Saks's new voting hub. Booths where people can register for the 2020 election, complete an absentee ballot application and check their current registration status through an online platform created in partnership with Vote.org.

The voting center will be open through early October, and really, what excuse do you have not to stop by?

Like, even if politics isn't your thing, do you not like shopping?
