The Best Of The C And D List Attend HappyThankYouMorePlease (In A Good Way!)

by Chiara Atik · April 8, 2010

[Photos by Eugene Mim for PMc] Most of the time, a party full of C listers is lame. But last night, at the premiere of Happythankyoumoreplease, the guest list was just as obscure as it was AWESOME. (No, really!)-

Imagine your fairy Godmother offered you a chance to have dinner with any celebrity guest in the world. Obviously, you tell her Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet, George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, and Matt Damon. She informs you that they are all unavailable, so you go for your second choices: Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Aniston, Tina Fey, and Jon Hamm. Except they're unavailable, too. So you go through about six rounds of this, and eventually you'd probably end up with last night's guest list: people who would never be at the TOP of your celebrity list, but are wonderfully random and cool for completely random, yet awesome things.

For example: Malin Ackerman, who was in the short-lived, but amazing Lisa Kudrow show, The Comeback. Or Kate Mara, known for her role in Brokeback Mountain, but remembered for her risque role on Nip/Tuck and for an especially good episode of CSI:Miami that I watched when I was sick once. Danielle Staub, everyone's favorite Real Housewife Of New Jersey, and Kim Stolz, who you may remember as "The Lesbian" from America's Next Top Model. Paolo Schreiber was there, famous for being Liev Schreiber's brother, beloved for taking his shirt off a lot when he appeared in "Desire Under The Elms" on Broadway last year with Carla Gugino, who also attended the premiere last night, and was excellent in Spy Kids 1, 2, and 3.

Last (and least), were the local favorites: the Cast of High Society. It must have been pretty gratifying for Devorah, who has been on quite the publicity kick lately, to see that the Patrick McMullan photographer correctly identified her, but labeled photos of co-stars Paul Johnson Calderon and Alexandra Osipow with a dismissive, and humiliating "?". Guess they aren't CW fans?

Happythankyoumoreplease is directed by Josh Radnor, of How I Met Your Mother fame, and opened up the 15th Annual Gen Art Film Festival last night.
