Lydia Hearst in this her Page Six column "The Hearst Chronicles", coming out this Sunday.
"Hearst Corporation, which my family owns, continues to host parties even as it folds magazines like CosmoGirl." [Page Six] We however, are looking forward to Lydia's private Halloween Masquerade party next week, of which the Hearst Corporation didn't have a hand in throwing, but Artwing, MAC, Interview, SKYY Vodka, and Alex and Ani Present did. I chopped off the date, time, and place information but you can look forward to hearing about it later next week.

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.

"Lydia Hearst should not put herself in the position of speaking for the majority of people at Hearst who work very hard and do not draw enormous salaries. When was the last time Lydia spent a decade or more toiling away in a midtown office? I think it sucks that Hearst cancelled their Christmas party. Why on earth didn't Cathie Black or even the Hearst family themselves offer to foot the bill? Instead of complaining, Lydia should dig into her own trust fund and put something together for the people she owes her very nice lifestyle to instead of punishing them further with false modesty. The entire Hearst family needs to show some gratitude and compassion for the people who have given years of their lives to the company instead of trashing them or laying them off. The buck stops with them. Let's see if Ms Hearst can do more than just talk." From: [www.nypost.com]
