The "place" is Saturday Night Live, of course. This player has been having quite the season--and of course, with every success comes a fair share of controversy. Can you guess who it is? Click below to find out...
You knew he was a star from the first time you saw him on "All That", didn't you? Well Kenan Thompson is definitely having a moment right now, with star turns this season as Tiger Woods opposite Blake Lively, a prison inmate in the "Scared Straight" sketches, and, my personal favorite, Reba McIntyre in an SNL Digital Short. All of the sudden, Kenan is a prime player on the show, which means he's getting his fair share of backlash.
The Tiger Woods sketch was seen as being permissive to domestic abuse, and his Virginiaca skits are being accused of racism and sexism. And why is Kenan always in drag? The comedian points out that Tina Fey was one of the SNL writers who in particular liked to put him in a dress--a move which she later joked about as being offensive on her hit show "30 Rock", when Liz Lemon repeatedly does the same to Tracy Jordan.
At least he is taking the (somewhat fair) criticisms in stride, and it's true--when you're in late night comedy, you're pretty much guaranteed to be offending somebody.
