The Ultimate WASPy Estate - Inside Connecticut's Most Expensive Home

by Guest of A Guest · August 28, 2023

If you're going to subject yourself to the tyranny of suburban life, there are certainly worse places to hang your hat...

Selling for $120 million, Copper Beech Farm is now the most expensive home in Connecticut. Tucked away on a private peninsula, the estate stretches across 50 acres, including everything from walled gardens, a 75-foot swimming pool and grass tennis court to an apple orchard, two beaches, a private island carriage house, gatehouse, pool house, two greenhouses, oh yeah - and then a grand 8-bedroom, 8-bathroom French Renaissance-style main house originally built in 1898.

While the identity of the new owner has yet to be revealed, the seller has been identified as the owner of an LLC called Conservative Institute (per the sleuthing skills of The Wall Street Journal), which is tied to Bridgewater Associates, the hedge fund founded by billionaire Ray Dalio.
