Sasabune

sasabuneTo feast on courses that change daily, you have to head to Sasabune on the Upper East Side. Chef Kenji Takahashi cuts each piece of fish himself, making sure to please each and every patron (30 seats) in the restaurant. The mandatory omakase (chef's choice) is a great risk, in which the chef decides what you will eat and in which order you will eat it. The $60 dollar a person price is very cheap compared to the quality of food you are getting, especially if you compare it to other tasting menus in the city, which typically start at $100 and up.
