With menu items spanning three continents,
Red Rooster is part soul food, part roadhouse done by chefs, yet sticks to the authenticity of the household kitchens that inspired it. The eclectic menu keeps this place packed continuously. For starters, there is Dirty Rice & Shrimp which can go with a 5 Spice Duck Salad with liver mousse. The Fried Yard Bird with white mace gravy is their signature entree and goes perfectly with the homemade corn bread.
The bar stays lively, always packed and filled with a mixture of new and old Harlem residents. The house cocktails are heavy on Buffalo Trace Bourbon, but keep the tastes varying. For a post-dinner drink, the menu has a choice of six port wines.
