Masatoshi "Gari" Sugio has been serving up some of the best pieces of sushi in NYC since 1997. So, it is no surprise that Gari's tasting menu - featuring seasonal items of the day - is one of the best in the city. Though simple and laid-back in decor, the restaurant's UES flagship location continues to be the most popular. Some of Gari's famous pieces of sushi include the tuna with tofu sauce and the salmon with sautéed tomatoes and onions.
