This New Restaurant Looks Like A Grand New Orleans Mansion

Couldn't make it down to Mardi Gras this year? No worries. New Yorkers can now experience the classier side of New Orleans without having to leave the city - no beads involved.

Mr. White, an elevated, southern-style eatery, has just opened its doors on St. Mark's. And while the mouthwatering menu items (everything from char-grilled oysters to a crawfish po’boy) are enough to entice us, it's the gorgeous interiors that are really calling for a reservation.

Hospitality vets Jeffrey White, Kelly Rheel and Chef Andrew Dunleavy aimed to create a space with all the "fun and mysticism" of the French Quarter. The result is a grand NOLA-inspired mansion complete with lush accents and plenty of southern charm. And since the team scoured the Louisiana culinary scene before setting up shop, the food is sure to be legit.

On the booze front (since we know you're wondering) expect an extensive French wine list and a few expertly curated soju-based cocktails, including The Hornet's Nest (muddled fresh sage with smoked honey shaken with soju). Yum.
