Chef Tomoko Kato has created a short but effective savory menu at this second-floor cash only Japanese hotspot. Cha-An is perhaps most recognized for its unique post-meal sweets and tea, but also boasts sushi, and other fresh fish dishes that make it an ideal lunch spot. Chef Kato was trained in French Pastry when she was an apprentice at Bouley Bakery with the Obamas White House pastry chef Bill Yosses- so you know the desserts are a must-have.
