The Whitney will be officially reopening its doors on May 1st in its new Meatpacking location, and we couldn't be more excited! Art aficionados have been waiting since last year for this event, when The Whitney shuttered its Madison Ave location and began the move downtown to its Renzo Piano-designed home. To celebrate the grand reopening, we've gathered some of our favorite restaurants and eateries around the new Gansevoort Street setting to help you make a day of your visit. After all, we can't think of many better combinations than fine New York dining and some good old 20th century Americana.
