Where To Snag Black Friday Deals Online, You Savvy Thing

by Ross Kenneth Urken · November 24, 2010

The Huffington Post has a great article that endeavors to compile how to find the best online deals for your post-Turkey Day shopping. This ain't your grandma's coupon clipping!

As a savvy navigator of social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare, you can save your killer scissor skills and log-on for $aving$ (the inner used car salesman in me has always wanted to spell "savings" with dollar signs: bucket list check mark).

Sites like Black-Friday.net  have greated Facebook pages that list just-announced bahhhhgains. Whether you're going to spruce up someone's electronics collection at Best Buy or get some home-furnishings on the cheap from Target (read: tar-zhay), you can head to Facebook for leads. According to the Daily News, for example, checking into JCPenny through Fourquare can snag you "$15 off a $75 purchase  or $10 off a $50 purchase." Similar check-ins through online gaming framework SCVNGR you can snag some AMEX gift cards at select malls across the country.

You can also score huge  deals here at venues like H&M (for your accessory fix) or Starbucks (for that nice caffeine boost to get your otherwise gift-neglected cousin through the holidays.

For the die-hard Tweeters out there suffering a tryptophan overload, you might ease your stomach woes by following @BFads, @BestBuy, @Macysinc, @Walmart, or @Gap.

From Blackberry apps, which our famed Blackberry blogger might favor, to Groupon offers, stay connected to save some cash as you play Santa this Friday and throughout the season.
