There is something big planned for the folks in New York today. I mean really BIG. HUGE. See below for details...

To celebrate the availability of the new Windows Phone, Microsoft has built the biggest smartphone ever, a full 6-stores high in the middle of New York’s Herald Square. From inside the giant phone, performances from real people will bring to life all the cool things a Windows Phone can do - from a People Hub give you one view across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to awesome apps and games that keep your phone not just smart, but fun. And of course – music! Far East Movement will perform a live concert from inside the larger-than-life Windows Phone Music +Video Hub to show how great music is never more than a click away with a built-in Zune experience and popular apps like Spotify.

Windows Phone has taken a fresh approach to the smartphone experience. It’s the one phone that puts people are the center of the smartphone experience, not icons. Windows Phone’s unique “Live Tile” design makes the phone feel alive with real-time updates from Facebook, Twitter and favorite apps, organized around the people you care about most. So what better way to demonstrate this unique approach than to literally put people in the center of a giant phone?

So fly down to Herald Square to see Far East Movement and celebrate the availability of our the Windows Phones. Like we said, it’s going to be BIG. Literally. So to recap: Gigantic phone, free concert, fun. Herald Square, 12pm. Be there.
