There are three certainties in life, Death, Taxes, and Roger Federer triumphing in the 5th set. Some of you may have missed the epic 5 setter between Roger Federer and Jank Tipsarevic this Saturday at the Australian Open. It was a grueling 4 hours and 27 minutes, and was hard to watch, let alone be one of the players on court. That being said, Roger Federer is magician. No, rather he is a genius. If I were a betting man, I would have put $10,000 on Federer without question when this match went into the 5th set.

There was simply no question that he was going to prevail. Tipsarevic is indeed a fine player, and put his entire heart and soul into the game, but alas it just is no match to Federer the great, who eviscerates his opponents with his shots like a surgeon's scalpel. And for the ladies, he isn't too hard on the eyes either, gaining impressive fans with the swoosh of his racket.
