Now that the World Series is over and we have had some time to digest this past year's Yankees season, we couldn't help but conclude that George Steinbrenner is the Sumner Redstone of Baseball. I mean what is it with these curmudgeons? Joe Torre has the best record of any Yankee manager, and yet Steinbrenner got all cranky and made efforts to toss him (by giving Torre a contract with terms he knew Torre would refuse)

Sure Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's couch, professed his love for Katie Holmes, and is a bit out there, but he still brings home the bacon (his movies have grossed a total of $2.6 Billion dollars) and Redstone's public chewing out of Cruise seemed a bit over the top. Perhaps these guys should take mid-day naps in an effort to curb their tempers.
