Real Housewives of New Jersey: The Season of Teresa?

by Maggie McGlinchy · May 18, 2011

Although Danielle Staub is gone, Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey is hardly lacking in the drama department. With the addition of Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice's evil sister-in-law, and Kathy Wakile, Teresa and Joe's first cousin, it seems like season 3 is going to be all about the Giudice family. Not that they're a great choice, what with the bankruptcy, 3 spoiled daughters, including Gia who is an aspiring model/gymnast/actress, the Teresa/Melissa Rivalry, and the fact that Teresa does crazy sh*t when she's angry.

Highlights from Tuesday's season premiere include a fight ensuing at a christening involving Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice, Melissa Gorga already stating her strong dislike towards Teresa, Jacqueline's obnoxiously arrogant and bratty daughter Ashley is repulsed at the idea of commuting to her job in Manhattan (shocking), and the Manzo family lacks any real storyline, except that Albie is no longer pursuing his career in law but has an apartment in Hoboken.

As far as Season 3 is concerned, here are our predictions:

Expect the Melissa-Teresa rivalry to take center stage as it so obviously did in the season premiere

Focus on Gia since she is a jerseylicious brat in the making

Hopefully Caroline Manzo can get involved in something scandalous, because with Dina Manzo gone, her family is taking the back seat.

Ashley is most definitely going to continue to postpone maturing, because that would be hard and make complaining less frequent.

Kathy will probably receive none of her own spotlight, but merely share with the Gorgas and the Giudice's, but it remains to be seen if she will stay neutral in the Gorga-Giudice fight or take sides.
