"The GofG Gift Bag..." Dinner For Two At Delicatessen!

by guestofaguest · March 23, 2009

Delicatessen is bringing international comfort foods to the crossroads of Soho and Nolita, serving familiar favorites with a twist for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night.  Want to experience Chef Michael Ferraro's new menu for yourself? Email Stanley at stanley@guestofaguest.com with "DELICATESSEN" in the subject line for a chance to win a free meal for two. We will be picking winners later this week.

Executive Chef Michael Ferraro, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has worked in the kitchen of Beacon Restaurant, Mercer Kitchen, and the Biltmore Room. At Delicatessen, he presents international comfort classics that incorporate elements from his Italian roots and classical French training.

Design firm NEMA workshop collaborated with Mark Thomas Amadei to create the bi-level space, which features such striking elements as stainless steels and glass garage doors that wrap the entire façade and retract seamlessly into the ceiling when open, and a glass-roofed lounge with a large-scale mural by local artist Juan José Heredia.

International brand consultants, Marque Creative, developed the branding and all collateral for the restaurant.  Famed photographer Terry Richardson shot the menu covers and celebrated fashion designer Charlotte Ronson created the staff uniforms.

With its innovative twist on comfort food, friendly vibe, and modern yet inviting design, Delicatessen is a welcome addition to New York’s vibrant SoHo neighborhood.

Delicatessen is located at 54 Prince Street in New York. Delicatessen is open seven days a week from 10:30am until midnight Sunday-Wednesday and until 1am Thursday-Saturday.  For more information, please call 212-226-0211 or visit www.delicatessennyc.com.
