    The Whitney

The opening of the downtown location of the new Whitney Museum has been the talk of art lovers, fashionistas, and society page enthusiasts ever since the Madison Avenue building closed its doors last year. Now the time has finally come to celebrate the unveiling and check out the new Whitney for yourself. On May 2, the museum is hosting a Meatpacking District block party for the ages and opening its brand new doors - for free!

    When: Saturday, May 2, 10:30 am - 10 pm

Where: Whitney Museum of American Art, 99 Gansevoort Street, New York

    Reserve your FREE admission HERE!

Open to the public, the all-day block party is set to feature creative booths by both contemporary artists and community groups, encouraging visitors to experience the new location and architecture of the museum in a fresh, interactive way. Everything from performance workshops and puppetry to large-scale shows on the main stage will be available for audiences as part of the art-inspired festivities.

The museum is also offering FREE admission to the new space until 10 pm, but in order to secure your spot and be one of the first people to take in the new Whitney, you must reserve a time slot HERE!
