  • Rumor has it Apple is in negotiation to buy Twitter. According to reports, Twitter's investors turned down a $500 million offer from Facebook, but Apple's price hovers around $700 million -- a figure that may just be paid in cash. This could be the merger to end all mergers ... or a sure sign the world is coming to an end. Either way, get ready for a Twitter storm. [Gawker]
  • Woody Allen is trying to prevent his ex-girlfriend/mother of his wife, Mia Farrow, and Hustler publisher Larry Flynt from testifying at the director's upcoming trial against American Apparel, who listed Farrow as a witness. [The Daily Beast]
  • Ninette van Kemp's latest pieces of "art" include underwear that leaves temporary imprints of patterns on the skin. The garments are supposed to "explore how beauty and suffering are subtly intertwined." [RGF]
  • Jimmy Fallon took home "Person of the Year" at the 13th Annual Webby Awards. Before launching his late night talk show, Fallon premiered the show online. [The Independent]
  • The BlackBerry Curve outsold Apple's iPhone earlier this year with help from Verizon's "buy-one-get-one free" campaign. While the Curve's market share increased 15%, the iPhone's share fell 10%. [WSJ]
