The Guild Hall Of East Hampton Comes To New York City For Their Academy Of The Arts Achievement Awards

    Guild Hall’s Academy of the Arts held their 24th Annual Lifetime Achievement Awards last night at Cipriani 42nd Street honoring some of the most accomplished thespians in the business. Guests were treated to cocktails and dinner while Emcee (and Academy Award winning screenwriter) Marshall Brickman entertained the crowd and introduced the evening’s honorees. Candice Bergen was honored for her work in the Performing Arts, Ken Auletta for his work in the Literary Arts, Jennifer Bartlett for Visual Arts and Leadership, and Donald Zucker for his Leadership and Philanthropic Endeavors.

    More story and photos from this event below... Also on hand was past honoree Alec Baldwin, who came to support his friends over at Guild Hall. Other attendees included Bethenny Frankel, tea party queen Tracy Stern, interior designers Elbi Askin and Rona Landman, Dr. Kevin Plancher, Sarah Bradford, Frances Hayward, Sharon Bush, Cindy Guyer, and co-chairs Leila & Mickey Straus.

    The speeches were remarkably funny with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Guild Hall is located in East Hampton and was the first center in the U.S. to provide museum, theater, and community meeting space under one roof. Passed honorees include Mel Brooks, Steven Spielberg, Billy Joel, Julian Schnabel, Elaine Stritch, William de Kooning.
