Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre
This improv troupe is arguably the best in the city. The theatre was founded by Matt Besser,
Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts and
Matt Walsh who all continue to perform here. The troupe used to have a show on
Comedy Central from 1998-2000 and were trained at ImprovOlympic in Chicago by Del Close, who had significant influence on the industry. The best nights to head to this theatre are Sundays for ASSSSCAT 3000, Death by Roo Roo on Saturdays and Stepfathers on Fridays.
