The Palme D'Or Awards, the culminating event of the film festival, is a chance for the female members of the jury to pull out their most show-stopping gowns. Host Kristin Scott Thomas did just that with her green, one-shouldered ball gown. Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Kate Beckinsale also seem to have saved the best for last.

The Golden Palm went to Thai movie that the jury selected unanimously. Javier Bardem dedicated his Palme for best actor to girlfriend Penelope Cruz, "My partner, my friend, my biggest love."
