Dia: Beacon

Where: Dia: Beacon Why: If you are an art enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates art, look no further and head to Dia:Beacon. Here, in a former Nabisco factory, you will find one of the most impressive collections of contemporary art in the world. The enormous galleries are filled with gorgeous sculptures and paintings in an industrial setting. It is almost as if Louise Bourgeois' Crouching Spider and Richard Serra's masterpieces were made to be displayed at Dia. This place is spectacular. How to get there: Head to Grand Central and take an 80 minute train ride to Beacon, New York. The museum is less than a 5 minute walk from the station.
