The NY Chef was disgusted when the Italian fashion designer recently ordered Mexican takeout at Serafina, which is decidedly not a Mexican restaurant.

Wonder what he would have said if Anna Wintour had ordered avocado and chicken, like she did at seafood restaurant Marea last week...

Ripert told NY Mag:

"I think he is disrespectful and it is unnecessary. If he wants to eat Mexican, go to a Mexican place. If he wants to eat French, go to a French place. I find that in very poor taste.”
