Where The Well-To-Do Say, "I Do!"

American Museum of Natural History

Whether it's a 94' blue whale or a roomful of dinosaur bones, the American Museum of Natural History provides some breathtaking backdrops for any event. And if your goal is to create an unforgettable evening, well, a wedding under a massive sea mammal might be your best bet.

But if the thought of skeletons and taxidermy makes you queasy (or you're just looking for a lower price point), AMNH also offers ceremonies and receptions in the Powerhouse, a 5,000-square-foot loft space that formerly housed the Museum's power plant. The venue, which is available to patrons who pay the $3,500 membership fee, also opens to the outdoor terrace -- a useful accommodation for warm seasons. The whale, on the other hand, will cost you extra: $8,500+ to reserve an exhibition space.
